On Sunday 29 August, the Bulgarian folklore dance group Rhythm visited CERN. After their visit to the ATLAS visitor centre and the SM18 hall, they performed a show at the Pump Hall, introducing CERN people to the musical and dancing traditions of their country.
The group comprises of around 25 children aged between 11 and 16 from the city of Varna, Bulgaria. For their show, the young dancers, choreographed by Tashka Pavlova, performed traditional dances and songs from different Bulgarian regions. The public of around 100 people, which came to see the show, appreciated the festive atmosphere and even joined in the last several dances together with the young dancers. |
